Office Administrator

Description:
We are looking for the ideal candidate to operate the Front of House, in a fast-paced environment, at our Head Office in Stoke on Trent.

Overview: This is a challenging role with many different aspects.  The role would be ideal for someone with knowledge of stock management procedures, purchasing, reception duties and general administration.

The ability to multi-task is a must, as is the ability to handle potentially stressful situations.  Respect of confidentiality and the ability to follow GDPR is essential.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate their knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Knowledge of Sage is desirable

You will need:

  • to be IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • excellent communication skills
  • excellent attention to detail
  • accurate data entry skills
  • the ability to prioritise work
  • excellent problem-solving skills

Salary:
£24,442.71 (FTE)

Hours of Work:
37 Hours per Week
Monday to Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm and Friday 9:00am-4:30pm
We would also consider a job share for this role.

Family Well-being Practitioner

Description:
Are you looking for a new challenge?  Do you want to be part of a team that makes a difference to homeless and vulnerable families?
Join our team of dedicated staff at The Gingerbread Centre in Stoke on Trent.

Overview
Using a trauma informed and holistic approach, you will support families within the accommodation to reach their full potential and to gain the skills necessary to sustain their tenancy.

You will hold a caseload of around 7 families whom you will support to identify and address any barriers, which may affect their ability to move forward successfully.  You will promote each individuals’ well-being in a person-centered manner and the family will be at the heart of all you do.

You will coordinate with Support Workers, Tenancy Sustainment Officer and external agencies to ensure the family has a robust support package in place to enable them to move on successfully to independent living.

Your main work will be at Rothesay Court but you may be required to work at other Gingerbread premises.

You will need:

  • to act as a positive role model to others
  • to be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • to have excellent communication skills
  • to have excellent record-keeping
  • knowledge of homelessness issues

Desirable:

  • an NVQ Level II in a relevant area

Salary:
£13.38 per hour

Hours of Work:
30 Hours per Week, working on a 2 week rolling rota;

Week 1: Monday*, Tuesday*, Saturday*, Sunday* – 7.5 hours per day
Week 2: Tuesday*, Wednesday*, Thursday* – 7.5 hours per day, and Friday 10:30am-6:30pm

*There is some flexibility with the working hours, apart from Friday’s.
